VMware IT Academy Setup Instructions

This article explains how to setup your VMware IT Academy account to download the software.

Step 1.

Your professor will provide you information to enroll into VMware IT Academy.

 

Step 2.

Open your HCC email by going to outlook.com/howardcc.edu.

 

Step 3.

Look for an email from info@itacademy.brightspace.com. Below is what the email will look like.

 

Step 4.

Select the "Click here to login or register an account to proceed.".

 

Step 5.

You will be directed to the VMware DL2 Brightspace login page.

 

Step 6.

Select the box with the 9 dots arranged in a square.

 

Step 7.

Select the "Software Products & License Keys".

 

 

Step 8.

Follow the Steps to request a license key for the VMware Product.

 

Step 9.

After you have requested your 1-year license key, you can download the software. Below is an example of th email you will receive from VMware IT Academy.

 

Step 10.

For VMware Workstation, download the trail version and then apply the license you receive from VMware IT Academy.

Step 11. Optional

You can create an account if you want by going to VMware D2L / Brightspace. Then select "Register" and this will allow you to create an account.
