This explains all the features NetSupport School has and how to use them.

Software Overview
NetSupport School is a software solution providing teachers the ability to monitor and interact with their students individually, in a group, or an overall class.
Monitor one or all student pc's (useful during testing)
Directly control a student computer
Lock the student pc's from being used
Blank student monitors
Lock the computers from accessing certain websites(or all websites) or allow only certain websites

How to Open NetSupport School
Double click on the NetSupport School tutor icon on the desktop or in the start menu.
How to Monitor all Student Computers
Click on "Monitor Student Machines" on the left side of your window.
How to Lock/Unlock Student Computers
Select the computers you want to lock or unlock (not selecting any is the same as selecting all)
Click the "Lock" or "Unlock" button at the top of your window
How to Blank all Screens
Click the "Blank All" button at the top of your window.
How to View a Student Computer
Double click the desired computer icon in the List view.
View modes:
You can view student computers in three modes:
Share
: The student's screen will be displayed at both the tutor and the student. Both the Tutor and the user at the student station will be able to enter keystrokes and mouse movements.
Watch
: The student's screen will be displayed at both the tutor and the student. Only the user at the student station will be able to enter keystrokes and mouse movements. The user at the tutor will be locked out.
Control
: The student's screen will be displayed at both the tutor and the student. Only the user at the tutor will be able to enter keystrokes and mouse movements. The user at the student station will be locked out.
To change the view mode
While viewing the student PC, click the
View Mode
icon on the View window toolbar and select
Share
,
Watch
or
Control
. Or, Select {Client}{Share/Watch/Control} from the View window drop-down menu.
How to Power on a NetSupport Student Computer
This function does NOT work in all rooms due to network configuration or machine limitations.
Select the icon(s) of the clients you wish to power on.
In the top left corner of your screen left click on "Student"
Left click Power Management
then left click "Power On" Or,you can click the Manage icon on the control toolbar and choose "Power On".
The student workstations will now power on.
How to Power Off a Student Computer
Ensure all open applications at the Client workstations are closed.
Select the icon(s) of the Clients you wish to Power Off
In the top left corner of your screen left click on "Student"
Left click Power Management
then left click "Power Off" Or,you can click the Manage icon on the control toolbar and choose "Power Off"
The Client workstations will now Power Off
How to send a website to student computers
Select one or more computers from the available list and then click on the ‘Quick Launch’ option on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the Quick Launch menu click the plus icon and select Add Website.
In the Website Properties window, enter the URL of the website you would like to send to the student computers and provide a description of the webpage. After you have entered the information, click OK.
The Quick Launch menu should now show the webpage you added. Double click the icon for the webpage to send it to the selected computers.
To close the webpage on the computers, you can send a reboot command or click the Student Desktop icon from the menu bar at the top of the screen and select the Clear Desktop option. You will be asked to confirm your selection.

nd out URLs to student computers in NetSupport School using Google Chrome as the browser, instead of Internet Explorer:
Connect to all computers in the room
On the top tool bar-
Click: Student
Click: Launch Application
Click: Add
Where it says "Description:" Type a name for the link you are creating
Where it says "File name:"
Click: Browse
Double Click: C
Double Click: Program Files(x86)
Double Click: Google
Double Click: Chrome
Double Click: Applications
Double Click: Chrome
Go to the end of the address that shows up here and type "
Enter a space
Type the URL you want
Type " again
Click OK
Click Launch
Restrict/Approve websites:
Allows control to what websites students are able to access.
Click the Internet button on the left(looks like a globe)
Select desired computers to apply restrictions to.
Click on the relevant restriction icon at the bottom of the Control window, or click the
Web Access
icon on the Control toolbar and choose appropriate restriction.
To acknowledge which restriction has been activated an appropriate indicator will appear next to the Student icons (Large icon view only).
Red for restricted, green for approved

If a Student is currently viewing a website included in the activated restriction list, they will be redirected to a message stating that the URL has been blocked by the Tutor.
To remove the restrictions for students.
Select their desired computers to remove access (selecting none will apply to all).
Choose {Web}{Unrestricted Access} from the drop-down menu. Or, click on the unrestricted icon at the bottom of the Control window. Or, click the
Web Access
icon on the Control toolbar and choose
Unrestricted
.
The green or red indicator will be removed from the selected Student icons.
How to Copy Files/Folders from the Instructor to Student
This is NOT recommended for large size files, or large quantities of files. We recommend you use a shared network drive for this type of transfer.
Select the required student pc in the list view.
Click the
File Transfer
icon on the toolbar and choose
File Transfer
. Or,
choose {Student}{File Transfer} from the Control window drop-down menu.
Or,
right-click on the selected Client icons and choose
File Transfer.
Or,
if you are Viewing the Client, select the
File Transfer
icon on the View window Toolbar.
The File Transfer window to that Client will open.
From the Client Tree View, select the destination drive or folder into which the items will be copied.
Note
: The path to any open folders (Explorer windows) on the Client desktop is displayed at the top of the File Transfer window to enable quick selection. This is only supported on Windows Vista and above.
From the Control list select the item(s) to be copied to the Client.
Click on the toolbar
Copy File
button.
A confirmation dialog will be displayed, click
Yes
.
