Howard Community College has partnered with Howard County to offer Pell Grant recipients a free Chromebook through the Maryland states Connected Devices grant. The Chromebook is limited to one per family.
The Chromebook may not support all applications for your classes such as Microsoft Office, but it does support web-based applications like Google Docs, Zoom, and Canvas.

Howard Community College, in partnership with Howard County, offered Pell Grant recipients and other eligible Maryland residents a free Chromebook through Maryland's Connected Devices grant. Eligible students can pick up the devices on campus using the scheduled pickup instructions below.
Please note the Chromebook will not support all applications, such as Microsoft Office or Adobe Creative Cloud. It is compatible with web-based applications like Google Docs, Zoom, and Canvas.
The Chromebooks have all been handed out.
Unfortunately we have handed out our allocation of Chromebooks. Please visit one of the other county partners if you're interested in a Chromebook.
Eligibility
Each Maryland family is eligible to receive one Chromebook through this program. A range of programs makes various individuals eligible. For more detailed information, please refer to the acceptance form.
