What is Duo, and why does HCC use it?
Duo is a Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA) system that requires HCC employees to provide a second form factor for authentication. HCC is using MFA to provide better security for our applications and data.
Who is required to use Duo at HCC?
Currently - all HCC employees are required to use Duo MFA.
What applications use Duo when logging in, and which ones are coming?
Office Desktop
Microsoft 365 Applications
How do I setup Duo?
You will receive an enrollment email to setup your account in Duo.

Can I use my personal phone for Duo?
Yes, you can use your personal phone for Duo.
If I use my personal device, can HCC see everything on my phone?
No, HCC IT can only see your phone software and version.
What if I don't want to use a personal device?
HCC IT has two options:
You can request a hardware token from the HCC Technology Service Center. This is a small device, which provides a onetime passcode.
You can setup Duo using your desk phone or your home phone.
I don't have my device with me, how can I login?
Please contact the HCC Technology Service Center at 443-518-4444. You will need to provide your email address and a phone number to validate your account.
